Timeline: In 1950-
1953 my parents opened a Gift Shop in New Market, VA called Richelle's in the Virginia Motel
(which became the Battlefield Motel - US Rt. 11) & then moved
it to a real log cabin which is still standing today in the town proper. Because
it was a log cabin and previously an Antique Shop, everyone came looking for
Antiques. They closed the Gift Shop with all those beautiful items, put them in
storage and opened an Antiques Shop. When they later moved to Harrisonburg, VA
their shop moved with them to several locations and again on to Hampton, Newport
News, and finally Williamsburg, VA. still using the name Richelle's Antiques. By 1980 they both had passed away so
everything was put into storage.
Fast forward to 1995 -
2003: research takes a very long time with an estate as large as this one and it
is only now that we are ready to open boxes and place items up for sale knowing
what we have on hand. We replaced our previous website in 2004,
with a real dot com to be able to fully list all the items with the proper
pictures for you to see and purchase plus Form
Mail and a great Research Links page.
We only sell Online, there is no shop.

eBay to Tell Shoppers, No Checks or
Money Orders
Sellers are saying eBay's ban on checks and money orders is, in effect, a move
to a PayPal-only policy - at least for the many sellers who don't have their own
credit card merchant account. Buyers may be unaware of the policy that goes into
effect during the holiday shopping season.

Survey Shows eBay Sellers Believe Payment Ban Lowers Profits
eBay is moving to an electronic Checkout system, banning checks, money orders
and postal orders, and more than half of sellers believe it would negatively
impact their profitability, according to an AuctionBytes.com survey.

2005, 2006 & 2007 & again in 2008, eBay announced it would be increasing fees to its Sellers including the:
Listing Fee, Final Value Fee, Gallery Fee. If you list in 2 Categories fees are
doubled. With this substantial increase, we will NOT be listing more than 1 or 2
items per month (if that!) thru eBay. If you missed our auction with them, it will be back
on our website for sale - we do not care to pay re-listing fees. We ARE trying
