Both ends are solid one piece of wood. Bottom - see pic -

Fruit Box with Nails: 9 3/4 inches ends, 15 3/4 inches
long, 6 inches Tall, 14 inches inside.
Tacked to inside top is what is left of a piece of material
that was used to cover the fruit.
