CA Prunes Wood Box
Above - Old FRUIT BOX solid wood nailed sides & solid
bottom: "25 LBS NET" " DAPHNE BRAND CALIFORNIA PRUNES" "GUGGENHIME & COMPANY,
SAN FRANCISCO - CALIFORNIA" "GROWN AND PACKED IN TH_ (MISSING) USA (part of U
missing)" - all this is ink stamped. Other end stamped 40 - 50. Bottom board
stamped <H> is a solid piece of wood. Attached to inside is a small piece of old
pattern cotton fabric which was part of a covering for the prunes. Dimensions: 9
3/4" ends, 15 3/4" long, 6 " tall, 14" inside. Fruit box is in better than
average condition, still sturdy - click on pictures to enlarge.
