We have two (2) handmade sailor dolls made by Norah Wellings. Ships represented are the S. S. CAYUGA & THE M. V. BRITANNIC. These were Souvenir items in the 1940's and 1950's. We will sell them individually or together - your choice. Each doll is 8 1/2" tall from head to heel (as if standing). Each doll has the Norah Wellings label on one foot - see pics: Made in England by Norah Wellings.

Dolls are the S. S. CAYUGA ( the ships' name) made about 1947 or when it was on the East Coast in 1959 and the M. V. BRITANNIC possibly 4/16/1953-54.

The Sailor dolls are all handmade and stuffed with something fairly soft in the legs & arms, but the torso is harder and the head is molded cloth over a form (contents unknown). Face is also hand-painted. The sailor suit is dark blue velvet with white cording & cotton lighter blue collar. The hats have a dark band or ribbon which have the name of the ships in paint with a white oversized top. Please see pictures for complete details.

The research we have done indicates a price of $65.00 each, however we are willing to sell for $55.75 each plus shipping of $6.00 priority ($61.75 includes insurance).
