Hardbound Daily Devotional Messages for those in the Services edited by Chaplain Norman E. Nygaard, Abingdon-Cokesbury Press, New York & Nashville. Copyright MCMXLII (1942) by Whitmore & Stone.

There is a pink satin ribbon attached to the binding to mark your reading place. The front cover is grey with embossed laurel leaf wreath surrounding the words of the title. The inside front cover has the words to "The Star Spangled Banner" & the back last page & back inside cover show words for The Pledge to the Flag, America and America the Beautiful.

This is a small book to fit inside your pocket while you are in battle uniform. This book appears to be in excellent condition inside and out.

Size is 5 1/4 inches by 4 1/4 inches by 1/2 inch.

The page above says that the chaplain who authored this book was called into service during WWII (WW2). Stories in this book could be compared to "The Upper Room" published today except all of these stories try to give strength and courage to the soldiers out in the field at war.
